For all those residential tenants in Seattle Mayor Durkan has signed an emergency order to halt residential evictions based on non-payment for 30 days.
Further, no late fees or other charges due to late payment of rent shall accrue during the moratorium.
If you have a pending eviction action for non-payment of rent, the moratorium shall be a defense to the eviction. The court may grant a continuance for a future hearing date after the moratorium is lifted.
